VOLUNTEER SEAMSTRESSES NEEDED
Donated wedding dresses are transformed into Angel Gowns, Bonnets, Angel Pouches, and Quilts that are then sent to grieving families around the United States. As a volunteer seamstress for the Emma & Evan Foundation, you are providing comfort and hope to grieving families… We provide the patterns and instructions, you add love & compassion.

With over 2,000 dresses in inventory, we need you! If you are at least a moderately skilled seamstress and feel the calling to help grieving families, we would like to hear from you.

Firehouse Quilts

Firehouse Quilts is a non-profit group of volunteers that make and donate quilts to Colorado fire departments, ambulance companies, Denver Health Medical Center, victim advocate offices, county social and human service agencies and Douglas County Women’s Crisis Center be given in time of crisis. Any style or pattern can be used in the donated quilts.

Each year we donate over 1,000 items, 90% are snuggle quilts for children that have been in an automobile accident, a house fire, or even domestic violence in their home. Our quilts help to calm these children and they keep the quilt with them for years to come.

Project Linus

volunteers, known as “blanketeers,” provide new handmade, washable blankets to be given as gifts to seriously ill and traumatized children, ages 0-18. It is Project Linus’ policy to accept blankets of all sizes, depending on local chapter needs. All blanket styles are welcome, including quilts, tied comforters, fleece blankets, crocheted or knitted afghans, and receiving blankets in child-friendly colors. Always remember that blankets must be new handmade, washable, free of pins, and come from smoke-free environments due to allergy reasons.

Little Dresses for Africa

Little Dresses for Africa is a Christian 501(c)3 providing humanitarian relief to the most vulnerable of God’s children: little girls. These dresses go as little ambassadors to plant in the hearts of little girls that they are worthy. As relationships are built, projects are completed through clean water, education, and community. “We’re not just sending dresses, we’re sending hope.”

Little Angel Gowns

Little Angel Gowns is a 501(c)3 charitable organization that transforms donated wedding dresses into beautiful infant burial attire. Often times with the passing of an infant there is nothing to clothe them in beside a simple blanket or shirt adding to the overwhelming heartbreak of the parents. Our beautiful handmade garments are provided as a gift to the grieving family. Our hope is the recipient family experiences a measure of relief and comfort in knowing their loss has been acknowledged in a most personal way. There is never a charge for our services, nor will there ever be. Almost everyone knows someone who has suffered the loss of a baby or perhaps even endured this pain themselves.
