Ohio Sewing Business (Face Masks) 2020

Ohio LLC seiwng fabric face masks 2020

So, sewists! I’ve been reading all kinds of positive and negative remarks about sewing fabric face masks and instead of following all of the opinions that are floating around the internet, I’ve decided to go straight to the resource. As of April 3, 2020, the CDC has changed its recommendations on whether or not to wear fabric face masks. Instead of rehashing their article, I’ll just post the link directly here, so you can read it for yourself.

HCP use of homemade masks:
In settings where facemasks are not available, HCP might use homemade masks (e.g., bandana, scarf) for care of patients with COVID-19 as a last resort. However, homemade masks are not considered PPE, since their capability to protect HCP is unknown. Caution should be exercised when considering this option. Homemade masks should ideally be used in combination with a face shield that covers the entire front (that extends to the chin or below) and sides of the face.”  click here
